The Twin Lakes Marketing and Graphic Design students walked into class this fall not knowing they would be asked to create the Fall Sports Program in two weeks. Usually Business students are eased into the school year with team building and reflection type activities the first week, but this year they were learning Adobe Photoshop and InDesign as well as taking photos, interviewing coaches and athletes, tracking down information, and learning how to manage deadlines and work efficiently. Twin Lakes Business teachers Laura Rogers and Susan Taylor met with Hoosier Media Group this summer to discuss taking over the design process of the Fall, Winter, and Spring athletic programs. “We wanted to build on what Hoosier Media had been providing us and feature our seniors, coaches, and add more candid photos,” said Ms. Rogers. Ms. Taylor echoed adding, “Our Graphic Design classes more than doubled this year and looking at our incoming rosters we knew we had the talent and drive needed to pull this off.”

Business students, Hayden Hubbard, Reece Arthur, Ella Galvin, and Maggie True came in before school started and photographed teams, athletes, and coaches. Lewis Dellinger said,”I think it’s cool we are taking the initiative to do this ourselves and create something cool for the students by the students.”

You can get a copy of the Fall Sports Programs at any home athletic game this season, but they are going fast. Come out and cheer on the Indians and get your copy before they are gone!
