Twin Lakes students and staff watch the movie Angst on Wednesday during their TL Time. Angst is an IndieFlix Original documentary designed to raise awareness around anxiety. The film highlights kids, teens, educators, parents and more who have anxiety. Michael Phelps is also featured in the movie.

The goal of this movie is to help people identify and understand the symptoms of anxiety and encourage them to reach out for help. One of the tips sheet that are found on their website outlines tips for managing anxiety. They include ways to distract yourself such as texting a friend, reading a book, listening to music, breathing techniques, exercising, and journaling. Another tip for when you are having an anxiety attack was to hold ice cubes in your hand to move the thoughts in your brain to the front of the brain where more rational thinking occurs.
