Decorated Up and Down

Decorated Up and Down

Spirit filled the halls as Homecoming week was in full fledge in preparation for the game against Benton Central. Out of the many activities that the student body took part in, the tradition of staircase decorating was one that helped bring the school to life. It was a close competition between the grade levels as all staircases were unique, but the senior class claimed the winning spot with their last-minute, but impressive work. Senior Madi Mosely, one of the many decorators, said, “We put it together in only a couple of hours, but it was nice to see everyone come together and help get it finished.” She continues to say, “That just shows how the Senior Class has perfected procrastination with the help of senioritis.” Although not all seniors could participate in decorating, they were able to sign a sheet at the bottom of the staircase making sure all of Class of 2022 was included. One of these students was Alex Paluchniak, “I think the staircase looked great,” said Paluchniak. “It would be cool to go back in ten years and see my signature because by then that paper will be worth millions of dollars since my name is on it.” Both students and staff enjoyed seeing the school come together during Homecoming week and walking through the decorated staircases, all of which helped lead our team to a victory.
