Beyond Pencil and Paint

February 11, 2020

This year so far has been jammed packed with art. Since all classes except for the AP classes have been cut into one semester classes there has been a lot of students and art flowing through the school. Twin Lakes High School’s Art teacher Mrs. Padlo says, “I enjoy seeing all the new faces coming through my classes and seeing how good some of these students are at art.” This year’s art program has also gained some amazing feedback from students and also some of the schools staff. Some places around town such as the trustee’s office have displayed student art projects.

AP classes along with Painting 3 and Drawing 3 are classes for some of the most skilled artists at the school. These classes are mostly student led. The students will choose their own projects, unless given a prompt, and have their own set time to finish them. For the AP classes they have to have around 15 projects by the end of March.
