Senior Britney Martinez is a 3 year Color Guard member, this year the marching band has struggled to accomplish their fall show, but are striving to do their best. During this quarantine Martinez has spent time practicing with her equipment, working at the local ice cream shop Skippers and working hard on school work. Martinez says, “Individually we have been practicing the rest of our show at home. It’s a challenge because we have to learn from videos instead of getting taught in person. It’s also difficult for the people who started guard this year, but we are a strong team and I know we are capable of accomplishing the show. We have to stay positive and look on the bright side.” Having a positive attitude with all the changes is a great thing to keep pushing through this pandemic.
