She worked in Residential Life at Manchester College and IUB prior to earning her Masters Degree.  After graduate school, she worked as a mental health therapist in a variety of settings including a locked secure unit, intensive outpatient unit, and group home facility.  She has been a school counselor since 2007 working with students grades 6-12.  Her favorite thing about being a counselor is having one on one conversations with students and helping them navigate the teenage years.  “The relationships I’ve been able to create with students and staff have really been the highlight of working at TLHS,” said Mrs. McAtee. She is happily married and has a son and daughter. She loves dogs, traveling, working out, and reading.
