Jalen Shidler absolutely sniping his tee shot at his home course, TCC, on hole three. After this shot, one person in the crowd said, ”Jalen is just throwing hammers out here… He’s nailing everything”. He was amazed with how great this shot ended up, and commented that he was extremely pleased with it.

The Boy’s Golf team at Twin Lakes High School is “sending it” all year round. Last year, our team broke many records, and had a very successful year. They had the best record in 9-hole matches in school history, only losing one match. They played really well all year long, and never let up. They all scored really well in sectionals, but got barely beat out of a sectional championship by Logansport. They still got second and moved onto regionals as a team. The golf team’s regional course had been moved from Battleground to Sandy Pines. This was a struggle for the team, considering they have the hardest competition in the state at the regional level. Although this is an extremely hard competition, the team did not play their best rounds at all, firing their highest team score of the year. With all this said, the team has decided that this year is going to be the year.

The team’s roster is stacked this year. We have an entire returning varsity team with a strong incoming class of freshman. This is maybe the best talent that the golf team has seen in a long time. With three seniors leading the team, they have a great chance this year. Jalen Shidler has been playing golf since he has been in diapers, and is ready for a break out year. Jadden Ousley and Ty Ploss both signed to go play college golf this year, and are both ready to have big years to prove their worth once again. The two returning juniors, Lewis Dellinger and Logan Creamer, have been waiting for this year for a long time. They both have big goals and hope to help the team out more and more. The team has dedicated this year to make it to state, by grinding the entire year with practices starting even in the winter months. With the team’s new indoor golf simulator, putting mats, and chipping nets, the team is full sending year round.
